Under the municipal regulations of Acireale, a tourist tax of €2.00 per person, per night is due, up to a maximum of 10 consecutive nights. The tax is not included in the room rate unless stated otherwise, and is payable at check-in. Children under 12 are exempt.
Under Article 109 of Royal Decree 773/1931 (the Italian Consolidated Public Security Act), the property is required to report the personal details of all registered guests to the local police authority, by collecting a valid ID document at check-in.
